In April, researchers for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine released results of a study proving that E.coli contamination was present in nearly half of the chicken available for sale in grocery stores, but the National Chicken Council claims the presence of E.coli is “harmless.” Author and health activist Kathy Freston finds out from Dr. Neal Barnard why consuming E.coli, derived from fecal matter of humans and animals, is not safe to consume.
