Obesity reduces pool of eligible kidney donors
The number of eligible kidney donors has been reduced as obesity rates in the U.S. are on the rise. Only 18 percent of 104 kidney donors had a normal body mass index, according to findings presented at the National Kidney Foundation 2012 Spring Clinical Meetings.
