Plant-based obstacle: No support at home

Switching to a plant-based for yourself is one thing, but encouraging your spouse, children or other family members to adopt a meat- and dairy-free diet when they’re not ready can make things difficult. Coping with a lack of support at home is today’s topic on Rip Esselstyn’s The Daily Beet blog.

This has been a challenge for me too, but since I’m the one doing most of the cooking, my husband has to make the choice to cook meat himself if he wants it! Even though he hasn’t joined me in being 100 percent plant-based, he’s definitely eating healthier than he was.

That’s great that he’s eating healthier, Erin! I know it can be tough for family members of those making this type of transition, but hopefully with time it will become easier. The T. Colin Campbell Foundation website (tcolincampbell.org) has some articles on this topic that you and your husband might enjoy reading.
