Prevention pays off for at-risk patients
Patients at risk for stroke, dementia and chronic disease benefit greatly from preventative measures, according to researchers from the Technical University of Munich in Germany. In a news release from the American Heart Association, senior researcher Horst Bickel says, “We found that not only the risk of long-term care dependence was lower, but also that death rates decreased.”
